After a rigorous audition process and some difficult decision-making, we are proud to introduce the Winter/Spring 2015 Training Ensemble (aka "The Ceili Ensemble") who will work together for the next 3 months under the leadership of our very own Keelie Sheridan to learn, dissect and reconstruct traditional Céili dance- a Gaelic form of social dance used to commemorate places and events. Meanwhile they'll also be teaching and learning from one another in our free and open-to-the-public Open Training sessions. Be sure to catch their lessons and mark your calendars to come see their End-of-Quarter Showcase on Friday, April 10, at 8pm.
Currently, she is working on The Tooth of Crime, a thesis project at Columbia University, as a collaborator, designer, and ensemble member. For more information, photos, and trivia facts, check out her website: www.ariellauryn.com
She moved to New York and began her training at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance. She continued with Peridance followed by the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre where she fell in love with the Meisner Technique. Currently she is working with Coyote Dancers in New York.
She is very thankful for her friends, teachers and mother for all the support she got in this adventurous journey that still lasts and is never ending.
